Cheesy Creamy Salsa Crockpot Chicken

Ok so everyone was looking for the recipe today for the Chicken we had at Charlotte's Birthday Party!

We also had this at My Moms 50th Birthday Party!

So here is the recipe

1 bag frozen chicken breasts
2 cans black bean and corn salsa
1 extra can of black beans
1 8oz cream cheese
2-4 cups of cheddar cheese (depends on how cheesy you want it, I used 4 at the party, but I use less typically its healthier that way)

Put the chicken, beans, and salsa in the crockpot. Cook low or high, depends on how fast you need it done. About 4 hours on high. When chicken cooked, take it out and shred with forks, put it back in the liquid. You can leave it like this as long as necessary on low until you are almost ready to eat. About 1/2 hour before you are ready to eat add in the cream cheese and cheddar cheese. Stir and serve over rice, noodles, chips, in tortilla shells... or whatever you like!!

How to Make a Slip N Slide

What to do when your water blob is blobbed out and your grass has died underneath it....??? Make a slip in slide!

Our blob has pretty much leaked out and we were sick of hole searching (my husband is convince the bunnies have been chewing on it at night...!!!) So we brought it along to the family reunion and made a simple slip n slide!

The kids all had a blast!

Such a fun way to cool off with cousins!

M1 enjoyed watching the show... although she was not brave enough to get in on all the crazy action. She used up the bubbles at the bottom and made herself all soapy!!

They played until the temp started to drop and everyone got chilly! What a fun way to get clean!

We recently made a few more of these at our family reunion! The kids had fun collecting flowers and making there shirts!! 

Sadly with all the reunion excitement they forgot to take them home so I washed them up and they are waiting for our next visit!!

Our Home made Playdough Recipes

These are our TOP 3 FAVORITE RECIPE FOR HOMEMADE PLAYDOUGH!

Regular Cooked Playdough

• 1 cup water
• 1 cup flour
• 1 T oil
• 1/2 cup salt
• 1 tablespoon cream of tartar
• Food coloring

Directions

1. Combine water, oil, salt, cream of tartar, and food coloring in a saucepan and heat until warm. Add flour slowly. Stir until dough forms together
2. The cream of tartar helps to preserve the dough longer, and as long as you let it cool and mix it well the food coloring in this has never stained our hands
3. Store this dough in plastic container or baggie

Kool-Aid Playdough

This Dough smells AMAZING!! A FAVORITE HERE!

Materials

• 2 c flour
• 1/2 c salt
• 4 T cream of tartar
• 2 c water
• 2 tbsp oil
• 2 packs koolaid

Mix flour, salt, cream of tartar, koolaid and water in saucepan, stir in oil.

Mix over heat for 3-5 min until forms a ball in pan. Cook until it is no longer sticky when you touch it! Be careful it is HOT!

Store in plastic bags, let cool completely or it may stain hands (although we have never had this problem I can see the potential)

Salt Playdough

Materials

• 1 cup salt
• 1 cup water
• 1/2 cup flour

1. Mix ingredientgs over heat, and remove when thick. As it cools add enough flour to make it kneadable dough.

So I have been seeing all of these great Cake Stand Tutuorials on.... Guess where.... Oh yes Pinterest!

Since M2's 1st Birthday party is coming up soon I decided to try it out for myself

Materials:

Dollar Store Glass Vase

Dollar Store Cake pan/pie pan/ plate

Spray pain

Tacky Glue

=$5!!!

Start out with the pan and vase and glue together. I let it sit out in the sun for awhile to "bake" on!

When the glue had set up very WELL, I laid it out to spray paint! It was as simple as that!

The FInished Product is Simple BUT GORGEOUS!

Balloon Bowls

Yarn and Rock Balloon Bowls

Our craft for Camp this year was these fun bowls!! 

I don't have pictures of the completed bowls yet except the test bowl you see above

Recommendation: Go higher up the balloon if you want more of a bowl and not a plate!

So blow balloon up and let air out so that it is not "tight"

Use tacky glue to wrap yarn or buttons or rocks or whatever else you can think of...

Let it dry then Mod Podge over the top 

TADA a cute little bowl!!
