BEST Jello Playdough (Orange Fall Recipe)

Here is our Jello Playdough Recipe

1 small box of jello
1 cup Flour
1/2 cup salt
2 Tablespoons Cream of Tartar
(you can make it without Cream of Tartar, it just wont be quite as smooth)

2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil
1 cup warm water

Mix it all together in a bowl,
Stir continuously over medium heat.

Keep Stirring until it forms a non sticky ball.
Be careful when testing it is HOT!!!

When you are done take it out and let it cool!

We added a package of $1 sprinkles from the dollar section at target!

We made pumpkins, monsters
Halloween costumes...

Happy 50th Birthday Dad

and now it has come around to be my Dad's turn!
We had a Surprise 50th Birthday Party! With a little help from my
hubby we managed to keep him away with a string of intricately woven lies...
right up until we all jumped out shouting SURPRISE!!

Our one and only game was a Trivia Game with a question from each year of his life!
Everyone paired up and got to work for a little friendly competition!

And the Grand Prize
An Over the Hill Potty Night Light
(to ensure your old eyes never have problems seeing
the potty in the middle of the night again)

and we gave a Jar of HOMEMADE FUDGE SAUCE!!

Here is the trivia game!

My Dad loves to fish so we used a few of his supplies to decorate!
A fishing hat
On old fishing basket
Old fishing net
A Pheasant hunt crossstitch
And a clay partridge (he mad it!!!)

The Old Timer's Candy Bar

We searched high and low and and tracked down all sorts of old candies!

Spaghetti Pool Play!!

On an Indian Summer 90 degree day here we decided that cooking was overrated and so we dumped our spaghetti noodles in the blue pool!

First boil the noodles in food colored water!

Then add to pool and PLAY!!!

Our strainer from our sensory bin was a great addition to this pool!
Some really fun creative pretend play cooking!
